Waxhaw is a mix of old and new. There are older homes near the historic downtown and along the rail line, and there are large newer neighborhoods like Millbridge, Cureton and Lawson where families have moved in over the last 15 years. Perfection Painting Pros paints both, and after more than 15 years working around Charlotte, we know that each kind of home needs a different approach.
Older Waxhaw homes often have wood trim with many layers of paint, doors that have been painted shut over the years, and walls with patches from past repairs. We take the time to scrape, sand and prime those surfaces properly so the new paint bonds and the trim looks crisp again. Where the original woodwork is worth keeping, we work carefully around it.
In newer communities, the work is usually about replacing thin builder paint, updating colors, and dealing with the nail pops and settling cracks every new house develops. We repaint with durable, washable finishes and make sure the transitions between open living areas look clean.
Our work is backed by a 1-year warranty, and you don’t pay until the job is finished and you’re satisfied.
Do you paint older homes with a lot of trim?
Yes. Older homes with detailed trim and built-ins are some of our favorite projects. They take more prep, and we plan for that in the estimate.
How far out are you booking?
It depends on the season. Interior work is easiest to schedule in late fall and winter, so that is a good time to get on the calendar.
